Bradley Barcola Signs Long-Term Deal with Liverpool
Bradley Barcola sat down at the AXA Training Centre, pen in hand, and signed himself into Liverpool’s future.
The French forward has completed a long-term move to Anfield, passed his medical, chosen his shirt – No.29 – and wasted no time in setting out his ambitions.
"It's a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool. I'm very happy," he told Liverpoolfc.com. "It took a long time but I'm really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play.
"I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League – it's one of my biggest dreams in my life. It is to do that and to stay in this team in the long term – that's why I signed a long contract – and I hope I can do it."
A forward who can operate anywhere across the front line, Barcola arrives with a résumé that already belongs to a seasoned winner. At PSG he played 152 games, scored 39 goals and supplied 35 assists, numbers that underline both end product and versatility.
He did not just collect appearances in Paris. He collected trophies. Barcola lifted back-to-back Champions League titles and three consecutive Ligue 1 crowns at Parc des Princes, growing from promising attacker to big-game operator in a squad full of stars.
His story began at Olympique Lyonnais, where he made his senior debut in November 2021. The step up from academy prospect to first-team contributor came quickly: seven goals and 11 assists in 47 outings for Lyon persuaded PSG to move for him in August 2023.
The rise has been just as sharp on the international stage. Barcola debuted for France in June 2024 and has already amassed 28 caps and six goals. Three of those came at this summer’s World Cup, where he featured in every match of France’s run to a fourth-placed finish and announced himself to a global audience.
Now he brings that pedigree, and that hunger, to Anfield. A long contract signed, a clear dream declared. Liverpool have not just added another attacker; they have added a 22-year-old already hardened by titles and tournaments, determined to chase the one prize he has named above all others: the Premier League.
