Minnesota–St. Thomas Women's Basketball Showdown Rescheduled

MINNEAPOLIS – The first in-season meeting between the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas women’s basketball programs will now tip off a day later than planned.

The intrastate matchup at Williams Arena – “The Barn” by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota – has been moved from Dec. 1 to Dec. 2, keeping the same venue but shifting the date on a calendar already packed with early-season storylines.

For Gophers fans, the adjustment simply sharpens the focus on a marquee nonconference test in their own building. For St. Thomas, still carving out its identity on the Division I stage, it remains a high-profile trip across the metro, just 24 hours later than expected.

The change drops the game squarely into a prime weekend slot, giving both fan bases a cleaner runway to circle the date and build toward a louder, fuller Barn.

Ticket Information

Ticket access is already mapped out. Season tickets, which lock in seats for all home games, are on sale now. Single-game tickets open first to season ticket holders on Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. CT, then roll out to Gopher Score members on Sept. 22 at 9 a.m. CT. The wider public gets its chance beginning Sept. 24 at 9 a.m. CT.

Tipoff time, TV and streaming details, along with the full promotional slate for the night, will follow later. The date, though, is set.
