Sorba Thomas Escapes Injury After Car Flip Near Hull Training Ground

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped injury after his car flipped onto its roof near the club’s training base on Friday morning.

The 27-year-old was involved in a crash on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, close to Hull City’s training ground. Images from the scene showed a grey Land Rover Defender on its roof, windows smashed, resting awkwardly on the narrow lane.

Thomas, who only joined the Tigers from Championship side Stoke earlier this month, managed to walk away from the wreckage.

Humberside Police confirmed emergency services remained at the scene as investigations continued and urged the public to avoid the area while they worked.

Hull City moved quickly to reassure worried supporters. In a statement, the club said it was “relieved” to learn that Thomas was unharmed and stressed that, despite the dramatic photographs circulating online, their new signing had “sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed.”

A frightening morning for a player at the start of a new chapter, but one that ends with the only result that matters: Sorba Thomas is safe and ready to resume his Hull City career.
