Talisca Leaves Fenerbahce for Al-Jazira: A Big-Money Move
Anderson Talisca’s time at Fenerbahce is over almost as quickly as it began. The Brazilian forward, who arrived in Istanbul midway through the 2024-25 season, has left the club by mutual consent and is already closing in on his next lucrative adventure.
Fenerbahce confirmed the split with a short statement on X, announcing that Talisca’s contract had been terminated “by mutual agreement between the two parties” and sending the 30-year-old their best wishes for the next chapter of his career. A mid-season signing, now gone before he ever truly settled.
That next chapter is already mapped out. According to Transfermarkt, citing journalist Resat Can Ozbudak, Talisca has agreed a deal with UAE side Al-Jazira, where he will join forces with compatriot Malcom, the former Al-Hilal winger. From Istanbul to Abu Dhabi, from the Super Lig to the UAE Pro League – another marquee name heading to the Gulf.
Al-Jazira’s offer is significant. Ozbudak reports the club have lined up a two-year contract with an option for a third season, placing clear faith in Talisca’s ability to be a central figure in their attack. The financial package underlines that status: the Brazilian is set to earn a total annual salary of slightly more than 10 million euros.
For a player who previously lit up Al-Nassr with his goals and flair, the move keeps him in a region where his profile and style are already well known. It also hands Al-Jazira a ready-made headline act, paired with Malcom in what could become one of the league’s most watchable attacking duos.
The deal now stands on the brink. Only the medical and the final signatures remain before Talisca swaps Fenerbahce yellow for Al-Jazira’s colours and resumes a career that rarely stays still for long.
