Tottenham's Squad Reshaping: Sarr Loan to Juventus and Young Talent Departures
Tottenham are reshaping their squad at pace, with a flurry of outgoing deals gathering momentum and a major attacking call still on the table.
Sarr set for Juventus with buy option
Standard Sport understands Spurs have agreed a deal with Juventus for Pape Matar Sarr to join on loan, with the Italian club holding a £25.7million option to buy at the end of the season.
For Sarr, long talked about as a midfielder of huge promise, it is a chance to step into the glare of Turin. For Tottenham, it is a significant decision: a young asset, a sizeable option fee, and a clear sign of trust in Roberto De Zerbi’s ability to remodel his midfield without him.
Young talent heading out on loan
The exits do not stop there.
Mikey Moore, one of the brightest prospects in the Spurs academy, has been given the green light to complete a loan move to Bundesliga side Koln. It is an ambitious step for the teenager, a test of his talent in a league that has not been shy about trusting young attackers.
Left-back Souza is also on the move, bound for Porto on loan until the end of the season. Another development move, another indication that Tottenham are happy to let their younger players learn their trade under pressure elsewhere.
De Zerbi’s stance: bring a solution, and you can go
Behind these deals sits a manager who has made his position crystal clear.
Over the weekend, De Zerbi confirmed that Richarlison, Sarr and Kevin Danso have all asked to leave the club. The message from the Italian was blunt: anyone who wants out is free to go, as long as they bring a deal that makes sense for Tottenham.
“He said too many times that he wants to leave. Danso came to me two days ago, and he said he wants to leave, and Pape Sarr, the same, but he suffered a small injury, but he is almost ready to train,” De Zerbi explained.
Then came the wider principle. If a player pushes for the exit, the door will open — at a price.
“I love these players, they are great guys, I have very good relationships, but if they want to leave, they have to bring the solution, the economic solution, to the club, and they can go, and we find other players.”
It is a hard edge wrapped in affection: respect for the dressing room, but no room for hesitation.
Richarlison and Ndiaye talks twist the plot
All of this unfolds as Spurs continue to hunt another attacker before the window closes. Talks remain ongoing with Everton over a deal for Iliman Ndiaye, a move that would inject fresh energy into De Zerbi’s frontline.
On Merseyside, a separate storyline is developing. Everton are working on a deal to bring Richarlison back to the club, a potential reunion that would electrify Goodison Park and draw a sharp line under the Brazilian’s turbulent Tottenham spell.
If Spurs sanction that move and Sarr completes his switch to Juventus, De Zerbi will emerge from deadline day with a leaner, more committed squad — and a clear message ringing through the corridors at Hotspur Way: if you want out, bring a solution, and Tottenham will not stand in your way.
