Zion Williamson Denies Allegations of Rape and Abuse

Zion Williamson has formally denied all allegations that he raped and abused a woman who has sued him under the name Jane Doe, describing their past relationship as nothing more than a consensual “friends with benefits” arrangement.

In newly filed legal documents obtained by TMZ, the New Orleans Pelicans star issues a blanket denial of every claim in Doe’s complaint. He insists she “was NOT harmed” by him in any way and rejects any suggestion of assault, sexual battery, domestic violence, or stalking.

Williamson characterizes their interactions as “pleasant and consensual,” saying the two never lived together and never had the kind of ongoing, shared domestic life that could support a claim of domestic violence. He calls that specific allegation “nonsensical,” arguing that they did not see each other frequently enough and did not share a household.

He describes their sexual relationship as “friendly and casual,” and says Doe often tried to initiate sex while he was unavailable or out of town. According to his filing, the relationship ended by May 2023.

From a legal standpoint, Williamson’s team is pushing hard on timing and jurisdiction. He argues that Doe’s claims for assault, battery, sexual battery, domestic violence, and stalking are all barred by the applicable statutes of limitations. He also contends that California laws covering sexual battery, domestic violence, and stalking do not apply because the alleged conduct took place in North Carolina, Texas, and Louisiana. He maintains that no such misconduct occurred in any of those states, in California, or anywhere else.

The lawsuit, first reported by TMZ, accuses Williamson of raping and terrorizing the woman over several years. He has repeatedly denied those accusations in public and in court, and has accused her of attempting to extort him.

The legal fight now moves from public accusation to the slower, sharper arena of motions, deadlines, and sworn testimony, where every word will be tested.
