Formula 1 Pit Lane Experience in Singapore: A Unique Invitation

Singapore fans are being handed a rare invitation to step directly into Formula 1’s inner sanctum, with ballots now open for the Thursday Pit Lane Experience on October 8, ahead of the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix weekend.

Up to 4,500 fans will be allowed onto the Marina Bay Street Circuit pit lane, walking past the team garages as mechanics and engineers ready their cars for one of the sport’s most atmospheric events. It is the closest many will ever get to the machines and personnel that light up the famous night race.

The event takes place on the Thursday before Circuit Park officially opens, setting the tone for a Grand Prix weekend that runs from October 9 to 11. With the floodlights still being tested and the grandstands not yet full, the pit lane becomes the main stage.

It is not just a slow walk past closed shutters. Attendees can also head into Zone 1’s F1 Village, where interactive activities will run through the evening, turning Thursday into a genuine curtain-raiser rather than a quiet build-up day.

The public ballot is open exclusively to Singapore citizens and permanent residents, and crucially, fans do not need to hold a race-weekend ticket to enter. Each successful applicant will receive a pair of tickets to the Thursday Pit Lane Experience, opening the door for families and friends to share the night.

The ballot is already live and closes on September 18 at 11.59pm Singapore time. Entries are made via the official website, with successful applicants to be notified separately once the draw is complete.

This Thursday Pit Lane Experience sits under the RevUpSG banner, a series of activities designed to extend the Formula 1 buzz beyond the three main race days and deeper into the city.

The 2026 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix will again unfold around Marina Bay from October 9 to 11, with a sprint race locked in for October 10 and the signature night race under the lights on October 11. For thousands of fans, though, the real weekend will start a day earlier, right there on the pit lane.
